Extended Learning Systems
We recognizes that the transfer process from learning to performance on the job is much more than a training event. It is a series of learning, reinforcement and application activities that motivate and encourage learners to embrace the learning and effectively apply new concepts, skills and processes in their daily work—a series of just the right events implemented at just the right times. We call our approach an Extended Learning System.
COUNSELOR SALESPERSON
COMPREHENSIVE SYSTEM
The system surrounds the seminar with activities that support learning. Before the session, the manager gets an alignment message. The manager and participant work together to set expectations and agree on the prework. After the seminar, the system brings the sales person and manager together—online or in person—on several occasions to review action plans, discuss applications and agree on best practices. The series ends with measurements of impact and feedback from customers.
HOW IT WORKS
The way it works is that the salesperson gets the message and is stimulated to review key skills from Counselor Salesperson and apply them in current cases. In the meantime, the manager gets a similar message and uses text and tools that we supply to work with the salesperson on the recommended application. By prompting both the manager and the salesperson to communicate about the application, the system promotes actual usage and accountability.
